OUR LINK TO THE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS

What Are the SDGs?

In 2015, world leaders came together under the United Nations and made a bold promise — to build a better world for every person on the planet by 2030. That promise took the form of 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) — a universal blueprint for ending poverty, protecting the planet, and ensuring that peace and prosperity are within reach for all.

They are not just global targets. They are a call to action for every government, organisation, business, and individual who believes the world can be different.

Did You Know?

Simani Africa works alongside communities across Kenya and aims to expand its reach across Africa through strategic partnerships and locally led initiatives. We focus on underserved and high-potential communities where access to opportunity, education, health, and inclusion can create the greatest long-term impact. Our work is grounded in understanding local realities, building trust, and co-creating solutions that reflect the unique needs of each region.

Why Simani Africa Is Committed to the SDGs

At Simani Africa, we do not operate in isolation. Every programme we design, every community we enter, and every partnership we build is deliberately anchored in this global framework — because local action and global goals are not in conflict. They are the same fight, at different scales.

We are committed to the SDGs because we believe that sustainable change requires a shared language, shared accountability, and shared ambition. By aligning our work to the SDGs, we ensure that every shilling invested, every life touched, and every community strengthened contributes to something larger than ourselves.

All Programmes

Every programme is built on collaboration with communities, governments, civil society, and donors — because the most lasting change is always co-created.

We are not waiting for the world to change Africa. We are working with Africa to change the world.

STORIES & CASE STUDIES

Change does not happen in boardrooms. It happens in homes, schools, markets, and fields. These are the stories of the people and communities at the heart of everything we do.

TESTIMONIALS

The most honest measure of our work is not found in our reports — it is found in the words of the people we work with and for.

From a Grantee

Before Simani Africa, we had the passion but not the resources. They did not just give us funding — they gave us belief, guidance, and a partnership that made us stronger.

I never thought I would run my own business. The training changed how I see myself. Now I provide for my family and employ two people from my village.

I came to give my skills. I left having gained far more than I contributed. Simani Africa connects you to something that reminds you why your work matters.
